There is a new email going around today that contains malicious file.

• If you receive this email or similar email, DO NOT click on the attachment as it will infect your computer. Just delete the email.  Even if the From address looks familiar, do not open the attachment, the spammer is most likely spoofing the address.

• If you are on our SPAM/Email Security Service , the email has be blocked as of 11:45AM today.

• If you have clicked on this attachment:
  • Update your antivirus software,
  • Run an antivirus scan,
  • Contact CBM @ 337.332.0680

Here is a sample of what the email will look like:

Subject: your mailbox has been deactivated

We are contacting you in regards to an unusual activity that was identified in your mailbox. As a result, your mailbox has been deactivated. To restore your mailbox, you are required to extract and run the attached mailbox utility.
